ELMHURST – Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley said Tuesday that all indications point to Whole Foods buying the vacant Dominck's at 215 S. Route Street.

Media reports are now confirming the move, although Elmhurst City Manager Jim Grabowski said Friday afternoon his office had not yet received official word.

Whole Foods plans to purchase the shuttered Dominick's in Willowbrook along with several other Dominick's in the Chicago area, according to reports.

The Elmhurst Dominick's closed its doors Dec. 28 as part of the grocery chain's mass exodus from the Chicago area late last year.
