Residents have until Feb. 18 to register to vote or to transfer a registration for this year's General Primary Election, according to a news release from the DuPage County Election Commission.

Potential voters are encouraged to contact the commission's registration department to receive more information on the registration process, download a registration application, check their application status and obtain a listing of registration locations, the release said.

Commission offices will be open under a grace period from Feb. 19 to March 15 at the DuPage County administration building at 421 N. County Farm Road.

To contact the commission, call 630-407-5600 or 630-407-5631 or visit www.dupageco.org/election. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday until March 18.
