Police reports: Bolingbrook for week of Jan. 29

Shots fired

Officers responded to the report of shots fired at 1:56 p.m. Jan. 16 in the area of Kingsbrooke Crossing. A victim was transported to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for injuries. The incident is still under investigation. 

Battery charges

Michael Medeiros, 19, 4 Vermont Circle, was charged with obstructing, resisting a peace officer, aggravated battery and aggravated assault following a traffic stop at 3:12 p.m. Jan. 19 at Bedford Drive and Rockhurst Road. In the same incident, Charles Toliver III, 25, 231 Charlotte Lane, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer and battery.

DUI charges

• Taylor Noble, 24, 352 Pheasant Chase Drive, was charged with improper lane usage, no insurance, driving under the influence and possession of marijuana at 2:23 a.m. Jan. 18 following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and Delaware Drive. 

• Shanna Johnson, 33, 217 Green Mountain Drive, was charged with hit and run, DUI and speeding following a traffic stop at 10:20 p.m. Jan. 19. 

• Zachary Rahn, 23, 2733 Weeping Willow Drive, Lisle, was charged with DUI, improper turn at intersection and possession of marijuana at 12:56 a.m. Jan. 22 following a traffic stop at Route 53 and Royce Road. 

Thefts, burglaries

• A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle Jan. 10 or 11 in the 300 block of Newcastle Lane. 

• A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle between Jan. 8 and 13 in the 500 block of Kildeer Drive. 

• A spare tire was removed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 15 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Marmon Drive. 

• Officers responded to the report of retail theft Jan. 16 at Meijer, 755 E. Briarcliff Road. At 8:46 a.m., an unknown subject placed numerous packages of Nicorette gum in a store basket and exited without paying. The loss is valued at $522. 

• Officers responded to the report of retail theft Jan. 16 at Victoria’s Secret, 641 E. Briarcliff Road. Three unknown suspects entered the store at 6 p.m., placed numerous clothing items in bags and exited without paying. The loss is valued at $1,100. 

• A GPS unit and two wallets were taken between midnight and 8 a.m. Jan. 16 from a vehicle on Marywood Lane. 

• Officers responded to the report of retail theft Jan. 17 at Victoria’s Secret, 641 E. Briarcliff Road. At 1:57 p.m., two unknown suspects entered the store, placed numerous bras and clothing in bags and exited without paying. The loss is valued at $1,500. 

• A wallet was taken between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 18 from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Canterbury Lane. 

• Officers responded to the report of theft Jan. 19 in the 1400 block of Hawk Drive. Between 3 and 6 p.m., suspects took a Playstation 3 and Kindle Fire from the residence, a loss valued at $400. 

• Officers were dispatched to a business Jan. 20 in the 200 block of W. Crossroads Parkway. An unknown subject removed various Apple products sometime between Jan. 13 and 20, a loss valued at $2,300. 

• Officers responded to a report of residential burglary Jan. 18 in the 300 block of Deering Lane. A game system and backpack were taken between 12:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., a loss valued at $400. 

• Officers responded to a report of burglary in the 200 block of West South Frontage Road. Between Jan. 17 and 18, someone cut a hole in a fence to gain entry, broke ignition columns to two vehicles and removed key tumblers. 

• Officers responded to the report of residential burglary Jan. 19 in the 300 block of Whitewater Drive. Between 1:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the residence and took a flat panel TV, DVD player and assorted infant clothing. 

Theft charges

• Gerald Chamberlain, 44, 2023 20th Ave., Broadview, was charged with theft Jan. 18 in the 600 block of W. Crossroads Road after taking merchandise from a business. 

• Valerie Stanton, 38, 572 Larkspur Drive, was charged with retail theft at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 17 at Kohl’s, 1138 W. Boughton Road. 

Criminal trespass

Dezhon Crockett, 19, 1454 Hawk Lane, was charged with criminal trespass to property and resisting a peace officer at 6:56 a.m. Jan. 13 in the 200 block of N. Weber Road. 

Property damage

• A window was broken sometime Jan. 18 or 19 on a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Idlewood Drive. 

• A window was broken Jan. 19 or 20 on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Mellbrook Road. 

• A window was broken sometime between 6:50 a.m. and 7:06 p.m. Jan. 20 on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Canterbury Lane.
