THUMBS UP: It's always good to see a pro athlete who hasn't forgotten where he came from. Lombard native Rob Scahill, a pitcher for the Colorado Rockies, returned to his alma mater Jan. 19 to offer his expertise at the Willowbrook High School baseball clinic. It was nice to have you back, Rob. Good luck at spring training.

THUMBS UP: Congratulations to Danny Scholz, who earned All-State Composer status in the Illinois Music Education Association Composition Contest. The guitar-playing Glenbard East senior's piece, "Blues Guitar Improv," earned second-place honors in the Jazz Improvisation category.
