THUMBS UP: Dan Ocampo, a chaplain at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, recently organized a relief effort for his native Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan devastated the island nation. Adventist Hinsdale, along with other hospitals within Adventist Midwest Health, donated medical supplies, hygiene items, clothing and food. Volunteers then gathered at Fil-Am Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hinsdale and packed the supplies for victims.

THUMBS DOWN: This one goes out to the mold at Hinsdale Middle School. The persistent fungus created health concerns and prompted District 181 to arrange a split schedule with Clarendon Hills Middle School. Crews have been working for the past several weeks to clean up the affected areas so staff and students can return to the school as soon as possible.
