St. Isidore kindergarten teacher receives award

BLOOMINGDALE – St. Isidore School kindergarten teacher Mary Ellen Neal (right) attends a ceremony at which she was honored with the 2014 Bishop Joseph L. Imesch Award for Excellence in Teaching with St. Isidore Principal Cyndi Collins on Jan. 17 at the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

The award is given annually to an elementary or secondary school teacher in the Joliet Diocese who demonstrates excellence in teaching, is recognized as a Christian role model and serves the educational community.
