DuPage County Sheriff's Office, Illinois Sheriff's Association offer $500 scholarship

Residents who will pursue higher education in the 2014-15 school year could be eligible for a $500 scholarship through the Illinois Sheriff's Association, according to a news release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents, apply in their home county and be full-time students, the release said. Scholarships must be used at institutions in Illinois.

Applications are available 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the DuPage County Sheriff's Administration Office at 501 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton or at www.dupagesheriff.org, the release said.

Students must complete and return the application by March 15.
