Representatives from Adventist Hinsdale take mission trip to Dominican Republic

HINSDALE – Thirty-six people representing the four hospitals of Adventist Midwest Health are currently in the Dominican Republic to provide medical care and assistance.

Hospital representatives from Adventist Hinsdale, Adventist Bolingbrook, Adventist GlenOaks and Adventist La Grange Memorial hospitals will be in the Dominican Republic until Sunday working with the organization El Fuego del Sol.

While there, the team will provide medication, medical and dental treatment and donated items to residents in need, according to a news release from Adventist Midwest Health.

The Adventist Midwest Health hospitals take part in a mission trip annually. Since 2006, hospital representatives have traveled to places such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana and Honduras.

Among those scheduled to attend the mission trip from Adventist Hinsdale are: Sharon Bowers, Dhena Byers, Tracy Daly, Dr. Stephanie Freels of Hinsdale, Kinsey Jackson-Ford, Colleen Pospishil, Rosa Soto, Dr. Rosanne Vasiloff, Dr. Gregory Wallin and Dr. Lanny Wilson of Hinsdale.
