LA GRANGE

Phone stolen

A cell phone valued at $500 was reported stolen Jan. 14 from a student’s backpack at Lyons Township High School.

House egged

A resident in the 400 block of South Spring Avenue reported having his house egged shortly before noon Jan. 12.

WESTERN SPRINGS

Window broken on vacant building

A window was reported broken at the rear of a vacant building in the 4700 block Commonwealth Avenue at 4:34 p.m. Jan. 7. Entry was not gained to the building.

Jewelry stolen

An undetermined amount of jewelry was reported stolen from a residence in the 4800 block of Grand Avenue at 6:47 p.m. Jan. 7. Entry was gained by forcing open a side door to the residence.

WESTCHESTER

Catalytic converter stolen

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 10300 block of Elizabeth Street at 4 p.m. Jan. 13.

Storage area burglarized

Personal belongings were reported stolen from the storage area of a townhome in the 2800 block of Denton Court at 10:27 a.m. Jan. 12.

Retail theft

Julio Zavala, 38, of the 2300 block of South Harvey Avenue, Berwyn, was charged with retail theft after stealing merchandise from the Goodwill Store, 3054 Wolf Road, at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 11.

Suspended license

Shaundale Reese, 38, of the 6700 block of 21st Street, Berwyn, was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was stopped for driving with only one headlight at 10:20 a.m. Jan. 11.

Battery

Thomas Cornell, 24, of the 10100 block of Pelham Street, was charged with domestic battery at 11:16 a.m. Jan. 7.
