Woodridge Police names new deputy chief

WOODRIDGE – During the Jan. 9 Village Board meeting, Tom Stefanson was named deputy chief with the Woodridge Police Department.

Stefanson began his career with the department in 1998. After serving as a detective for two years, he was promoted to patrol sergeant in 2004. Stefanson then became a detective sergeant in 2010.

While serving as deputy chief, Stefanson will oversee the vehicle fleet and patrol division.
