LGBA announces 2014 Board of Directors

LA GRANGE – The La Grange Business Association (LGBA) announced the installation of its board of directors Sunday along with an outline for the continued growth of its membership in 2014.

The volunteer board will oversee the planning and implementation of several annual public events including the La Grange Carnival and La Grange Pet Parade weekend, the summer-long sidewalk art exhibit and auction, the La Grange Craft Show in July, the West End Art Festival in September, the Halloween Walk & Fall Festival in October and Hometown Holiday in December.

Members of the 2014 board include Board President Steve Jasinski, of Baird & Warner Real Estate; Secretary Claudia Byrne, of Gal Friday; Vice President Paul Lefaivre, of Bottle & Bottega; Vice President Phil Fornaro, of Fornaro Law; Treasurer Joseph Kroc, of First National Bank of La Grange; LGBA Executive Director Nancy Cummings; Kerry Frerk, of J & J Insurance Services; Rebecca Klinger, of EcoManiacs; Nicole Zimmermann, of  the La Grange Public Library; Kathy Dierkes, of Kathy Dierkes State Farm Insurance; Niki Chibukos, of Aging Care Connections; Jen Schnell of Alphagraphics; and Steve Palmer, of Palmer Place; Charlene Vickery, of Transformational Bodywork; Peggy Maglaris Kopley, of Prasino; Andrea Barnish, of Red Street Studio; and Negeen Dyke, of Consign and Redesign.

In addition to its large-scale public events, the LGBA also organizes various promotions and marketing initiatives designed to increase sales revenue for 240 independent local businesses – including La Grange Restaurant Week, Girlfriends Getaway and Small Business Saturday – in addition to professional seminars, educational workshops and networking events.
