Chicago Force women's football team honored for perfect season

The Governor and the Mayor of Chicago proclaimed Jan. 5, 2014, as the Chicago Force Women’s Tackle Football Team Day in honor of the Force winning the 2013 Women's Football Alliance championship title. The Force finished off their perfect 12-0 season with an 81-34 win over the Dallas Diamonds in the title game in August.

Chicago Force Team co-owner and player Tricia Charbonneau, co-owner and player Amanda Malsch, Governor Quinn's spokesperson Mica Matsoff, Chicago 2nd Ward Alderman Robert Fioretti, and team owner Linda Bache, who was named Owner of the Year by the Women's Football Alliance, were part of a recent gathering that celebrated the Force's 2013 perfect season.
