YouTube video allegedly shows Bolingbrook officer playing poker on laptop while driving

BOLINGBROOK – Bolingbrook police say they have identified the police officer allegedly captured on video playing online poker while driving a squad car.

The video was posted on YouTube on Tuesday and shows a Bolingbrook Police Department squad car in motion while the driver appears to be actively playing video poker on the laptop computer. The video was posted by a user under the name "Filming Cops" and had garnered 961 views as of noon Wednesday.

The woman filming can be heard saying, "He's going to be so happy when this is on Facebook."

Bolingbrook Lt. Mike Rompa confirmed via email police have identified the officer, but said, "Due to the seriousness of this incident, the Bolingbrook Police Department has placed this under an internal investigation. I have no further information at this time."
