Kenneth Ginsburg to speak about building resilience in children as part of D-86 series

HINSDALE – Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg will be the featured speaker for the next Community Speaker Series Program, scheduled for Feb. 5.

His program, "Resilience: The Greatest Gift You Can Give Your Child," will be held at 10 a.m. at The Community House, and again at 7 p.m. at Hinsdale Central High School Auditorium. Admission is free, but space is limited.

To reserve a space, visit d181foundation.org.

Ginsburg advocates building on children’s strengths by fostering their internal resilience. As a pediatrician, professor, director of health services in an agency that serves needy teens, and a parent, Ginsburg will address the question of how we as families help children develop the resilience they need to flourish and ultimately become happy, healthy and contributing adults, according to a news release from District 86.

The Community Speaker Series, presented by Hinsdale Township High School District 86, informs families in the K-12 community about issues in education, child development, wellness and parenting. This event is supported by District 181 Foundation, Hinsdale Central PTO and The Community House.
