Another round of snow and some of the coldest temperatures of the last 30 years will close many west suburban school districts on Monday.

Many school districts made the decision to close on Sunday. Parents were informed via automated calling services, email and messages on school district websites.

Temperatures are predicted to be 12 below zero on Monday, with a dangerous wind chill of 45 below zero. Winds as strong as 20 to 30 mph are expected.

Most area schools are closed Monday, but you can check you school's status at www.emergencyclosingcenter.com

A winter storm warning is in effect for Cook, DuPage and Will counties through 6 p.m. tonight. More snowfall is expected, even as temperatures drop.

In addition to schools, many local libraries and municipalities will also be closed Monday.
