WESTMONT – A local Westmont restaurant will be offering a series of monthly cooking classes beginning this month.
Bakersfield Executive Chef Patrick Cassata will host the sessions at the restaurant, 330 E. Ogden Ave., with each course having a new theme. Participants will learn how to master new recipes along with what drinks to pair with different dishes.
The monthly cooking classes kick off this Saturday at 2 p.m. with a Gluten Free Comfort Foods theme. Classes are $40 per class or $100 for all three sessions. January's class includes teff pancakes with cinnamon and pecan maple syrup, southern fried chicken with habanero grilled yellow pepper sauce, cheddar cornbread and more.
