La Grange teen charged with armed robbery of pizza delivery man

LA GRANGE – A 17-year-old La Grange boy has been charged with armed robbery for allegedly demanding money from a pizza delivery man at knifepoint New Year's Eve, according to a news release from La Grange police.

Michael L. Anderson, 17, of La Grange, appeared before a Cook County judge Thursday after he was charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, a felony.

At about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 31, Anderson allegedly confronted a pizza delivery man in the 100 block of Hayes Avenue. He brandished a knife and demanded money from the man.

Anderson was later arrested at a residence in the 200 block of East Avenue after police followed shoeprints in the snow from the site of the robbery.

Anderson is being held on $150,000 bond.
