Cub Scouts from Lombard and Villa Park are interviewed by reporter Matt Piechalak during their visit to the Suburban Life Media newsroom Monday in Downers Grove.

DOWNERS GROVE – Lombard/Villa Park Cub Scout Pack 140, Den 10 visited the Suburban Life Media newsroom Monday afternoon to learn how local news is made.

The group of about a dozen Cubs learned how to interview and write stories and also how a newspaper is put together.

The Pack recently finished making Christmas ornaments for their Christmas tree on the Prairie Path.

"We made Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ornaments using our hands," said Max Hagen, 6, of Lombard.

With the visit to the newsroom, the Cubs are now one step closer to receiving their Tiger badges.
