Former Brookfield Jaycees president receives organization's top honor

BROOKFIELD – Former Brookfield Jaycees President Yvonne Agnello-Adams was honored with a Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senatorship at the Illinois Jaycees Convention last month.

A JCI Senatorship is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a current or past member for outstanding service to the organization. Only one out of 1,000 Jaycees becomes a senators.

Agnello-Adams received the honor on behalf of the Lombard Jaycees, as the Brookfield chapter closed earlier in 2012 because of a lack of membership. Agnello-Adams joined the Brookfield chapter in 2003 and took on leadership positions at the local, regional and state levels. She currently serves as the Illinois Jaycees Chief Ambassador and is a JCI Certified National Trainer, helping others to grow into better leaders for their communities.

Through her own company, YDAA & Associates, Agnello-Adams travels around the country training professionals on communication, leadership and other professional skills.
