Motor vehicle theft

A 2010 Toyota Corolla left running with the keys inside was reportedly stolen at 11:58 a.m. Dec. 14 at Shell Gas Station, 631 Roosevelt Road.

Traffic violation

• Ruibing G. Qu, 22, 1710 E. 22nd St., Wheaton, was charged with operating a vehicle when registration is suspended at 12:04 a.m. Dec. 10 at Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way.

• Tatanisha N.B. Fair, 25, 555 Thornhill Drive, Carol Stream, was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding, and Issac F. Doss, 21, 555 Thornhill Drive, Carol Stream, was charged with obstructing a police officer at 1:15 p.m. Dec. 11 at Park Boulevard and Wilson Avenue.

• Jerri C. Thomas, 27, 645 S. 19th Ave., Maywood, was charged with driving while license revoked and driving without lights when required at 5:57 p.m. Dec. 13 at Roosevelt Road and Pershing Avenue.


Ramiro Acosta, 27, 50 S. Finley Road, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol concentration of more than 0.08, no valid driver’s license and illegal squealing of tires at 11:24 p.m. Dec. 10 at Finley Road and St. James Place.

Residential burglary

A central air conditioning unit and copper piping from a furnace were reportedly stolen between 6 a.m. Dec. 11 and 6:27 p.m. Dec. 12 in the zero block of Surrey Drive.

Burglary to motor vehicle

An iPad, valued about $500, was reportedly stolen from a parked vehicle between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 900 block of Roosevelt Road.

Marijuana possession

Andrew L. Santiago, 19, 172 Salem Court, Bloomingdale, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane use at 11:04 a.m. Dec. 10 at Lambert Road and Fairview Avenue.

Solicitation on road

Joseph J. Sakwa, 56, 703 W. Liberty Drive (PADS), was charged with solicitation on road and possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:13 p.m. Dec. 13 at Roosevelt Road and Interstate 355.
