HINSDALE

DUI charged

Daniel Mahaney, 46, 49 Sorrel Court, Zionsville, Ind., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign at 11:33 p.m. Sunday at Garfield and Hinsdale avenues.

Credit card fraud reported

Someone made numerous fraudulent purchases using a victim's credit card number between 12:01 a.m. June 1 and 11:59 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Fraudulent purchases totaled $10,092.46.

Theft reported

• A hospital employee reported someone stole her cellphone while it was charging at her work station between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Dec. 19 at RML Specialty Hospital, 5601 S. County Line Road. The phone was valued at $700.

• Someone stole five Comcast cable boxes from a residence between Oct. 17 and Nov. 23 in the 500 block of Woodland Avenue. During the timeframe, there had been contractors authorized to do work within the home. The cable boxes were valued at $1,000.

DARIEN

Theft charged

• Dontrell Lewis, 20, 1133 N. 7th St., Lafayette, Ind., was charged with retail theft, forgery, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and resisting/obstructing a police officer on Dec. 13 at Walmart, 2189 75th St.

• India McKeever-Austin, 19, 408 Vineyards Court, Lafayette, Ind., was charged with retail theft, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and resisting/obstructing a police officer on Dec. 13 at Walmart.

Theft reported

A student had an Apple iPhone 5 stolen in the team locker room after school during practice on Dec. 11 at Hinsdale South High School, 7401 Clarendon Hills Road.
