Elmhurst firefighters respond to garage fire Saturday night

ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Fire Department responded to a garage fire at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of North Glade Avenue, officials said.

The fire was contained to a detached garage at a residence, and damage estimates are not yet available, Battalion Chief Tim Mahoney said.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which remains under investigation, Mahoney said.

The Elmhurst Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Bensenville, Addison and Northlake. Fire personnel were on the scene for about an hour, Mahoney said.
