Bolingbrook's Westphal commits to Northwestern

Bolingbrook football player Parrker Westphal was a three-year starter for the Raiders and on Friday committed to continue his career at Northwestern.

BOLINGBROOK – Bolingbrook defensive back Parrker Westphal verbally committed to Northwestern on Friday.

A three-year starter in the Raiders secondary, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Westphal had narrowed his selections to Northwestern, Vanderbilt and Michigan State by the end of Bolingbrook's football season.

The senior and lifelong Bolingbrook resident confirmed his verbal commitment to the Wildcats on Friday evening.

Westphal notched 35 tackles, eight pass break-ups, three interceptions and two touchdowns during his final season as the Raiders advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
