ELMHURST – York High School graduate Trace Gaynor and his a capella group The Filharmonic said goodbye to "The Sing-Off" stage Wednesday.
Even though the six-man singing group didn't win the $100,000 grand prize and recording contract, Gaynor wrote on his Facebook page that he wouldn't change a thing.
While Gaynor is from Elmhurst, The Filharmonic was born in Los Angeles. The group's members pride themselves on their Filipino culture, which they enjoy blending with their love for 90s R&B, according to the band's bio on "The Sing-Off" website.
They were eliminated Wednesday, in this season's sixth episode. They lost to a group called Ten.
The "Sing-Off," hosted by Nick Lachey, began with 10 a capella groups facing off for the grand prize. Jewel, Ben Folds of Ben Folds Five and Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men judge the unique performances of popular songs.
The season finale airs at 7 p.m. Monday on NBC.
