Westfield Ford named company's first LEED-certified dealer in state

Westfield Ford, 6200 S. La Grange Pard, has been named the first LEED-certified Ford dealership in Illinois.

COUNTRYSIDE – Westfield Ford, 6200 S. La Grange Pard, has been named the first LEED-certified Ford dealership in Illinois.

The certification comes from the U.S. Green Building Council, which provides third-party verification of environmentally-friendly buildings.

The dealership recently held a grand reopening to debut its new $5 million energy-efficient facility. Environment-friendly changes at the dealership include: 

• Showroom lighting controlled by timed, roof-installed photocells that activate at dawn

• Interior furnishings made from recycled materials 

• Thermostats timed to provide appropriate climate control

The dealership also offers two charging stations for electric vehicles.
