Attempted armed robbery

Hector L. Ortiz, 18, 102 W. Nevada Ave., Glendale Heights, was charged with attempted armed robbery at 8:15 p.m. Nov. 28 at 350 Bryant Ave.

Stolen vehicle possession

Justin P. Clasen, 43, 1002 Duncan Ave., Elgin, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated driving while license revoked and uninsured motor vehicle at 11:17 p.m. Nov. 25 at BP Amoco, 339 Roosevelt Road.

Controlled substance

Adam C. Ostryzniuk, 23, 527 Lowden Ave., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of syringes at 9:04 a.m. Nov. 28 at Jewel, 599 Roosevelt Road.

Motor vehicle burglary

A Sony Snapshot camera, prescription medication, about $10 in change and a 30-piece screwdriver and wrench set were reportedly stolen from a locked vehicle between 4 p.m. Nov. 24 and 6:39 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 300 block of Ash Lane.

Theft

• An unattended wallet containing $40, an Illinois driver’s license and miscellaneous credit cards was reportedly stolen from the women’s bathroom at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, 645 Lenox Road.

• An iPhone 5S cellphone, a Call of Duty Xbox video game and $7 were reportedly stolen from an unattended gym bag between 3 and 5 p.m. Nov. 24 at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road.

Criminal trespass

James P. Overbeck, 22, 1990 Basswood Lane, Glendale Heights, was charged with criminal trespass to property at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 29 at Budgetel Inn, 675 Roosevelt Road.

Traffic violation

• Jonathan T. Davis, 30, 247 Meadowbrook Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with suspended registration for noninsurance and improper use and display of license plates at 10:56 a.m. Nov. 29 at Roosevelt Road and Pershing Avenue.

• Harvey J. Nelson, 38, 520 Pershing Ave., was charged with operating uninsured vehicle, failure to secure a child under 8 in a restraint system and driving while license suspended at 11:51 a.m. Nov. 30 at Park Boulevard and Taft Avenue.
