ADDISON – Last year, a group of Addison businesses joined forces to celebrate their families, customers and community.

This year, though, they saw the opportunity to do more than just celebrate.

"We figured with the holiday season gifts are in order," said Francesco Cacucciolo, managing broker at Infiniti Real Estate Group, Inc. in Addison.

During this year's 2nd Annual Holiday Appreciation Party, Infiniti Real Estate and STC Capital Bank asked guests to bring new toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

The food and drinks were provided for party guests by the two closely related businesses, but the presents were all for children who might otherwise have nothing to open Christmas morning.

"This year we did it a little differently than last year and invited Toys for Tots." Cacucciolo said.

Between about 120 guests, about 150 toys and nearly $500 were donated to the Toys For Tots program. U.S. Marine Don Kenyon awarded STC and Infiniti with a plaque from Toys for Tots.

After this year's success, the pair plans to continue the Toys for Tots tradition next year.

For Cacucciolo, using the holiday party to give back to the larger community was just one example of how he and Vito Roppo, vice president of home loans and sales manger at STC, have worked together to help clients for years.

"We started out as friends," Cacucciolo said.

After seven years working together to help clients find and purchase homes, Roppo and Cacucciolo see the annual holiday party as an opportunity to thank their clients for their business.

"It takes a lot to buy a home these days," Roppo said.

During the holiday party, he and Cacucciolo bring their families and clients together for an evening of food, drinks and performances by artist impressionist Chuck Drager. This year, the event included other local businesses by raffling off donated products and services. American Family Insurance, Guardian Home Inspections and Carrington Title all contributed to the event as sponsors. Split the pot also helped raise the monetary donation to Toys for Tots.

Since last year's 80-person turn out, the event's popularity has grown.

"People are asking us all year about coming to our events," Cacucciolo said.

Just like he and Roppo are friends, they've built a relationship with many of their clients. The real estate company and bank want to show their appreciation for those relationships by celebrating the holiday season with them.

Roppo said he especially likes bringing together the people they've been able to help buy homes together in the same place.

"My favorite part is just getting everyone together," Cacucciolo.
