TCF Bank to close West Chicago, Wheaton branches as part of consolidation efforts

TCF National Bank locations at Jewel-Osco stores in West Chicago and Wheaton are among 37 branches that will be closing as part of consolidation efforts in the Chicago area, according to a company news release.

The bank identified certain locations whose customers could be served by other nearby branches, the release said. The company expects to retain many of its employees affected by the consolidations.

The locations, including branches at 177 E. Roosevelt Road in West Chicago and 2031 Main St. in Wheaton, are expected to close by March, according to the release.

TCF Bank will maintain branch locations at 118 Jewel-Osco stores in the Chicago area, the release said.
