BERKELEY – The village held a dedication ceremony Dec. 6 for the completed reconstruction of its Village Hall and police station.

Changes include more features compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) such as ramps, restrooms and elevators, in addition to secured jail cells, interview rooms, evidence rooms, a new fire sprinkler system, larger work space for employees, landscaping and repaved concrete.

The project began in September 2011 and was completed Nov. 23 of this year. After completion, the village held an open house and offered tours of the newly renovated facilities.
