DOWNERS GROVE – Police arrested three suspects after an alleged armed robbery Wednesday morning at Radio Shack in Downers Grove.

A store employee told police two men entered the store in the 7300 block of Lemont Road about 10:50 a.m. Wednesday and displayed a small handgun. They allegedly demanded the employee open locked cabinets in the store before taking electronic devices.

The men then allegedly pepper sprayed the employee and a customer before fleeing.

They left westbound on 75th Street in a green Nissan, which police located driving northbound on Interstate 355. Officers followed the vehicle to Route 59 and Ferry Road, where three occupants stopped and ran. Police arrested all three suspects after a short foot pursuit, police said.

Police did not release the names of the three suspects, and said an investigation is on-going.
