Morton High School was handed $2,500 in cash from former Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Anthony Morgan for the Hero’s Cheesy Challenge contest.

Former Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Anthony Morgan paid a visit to Morton High School Dec. 12 to award a $2,500 cash donation as a result of video submissions to the Hero’s Cheesy Challenge contest.

Morton High School was awarded the contest’s grand prize, including a visit from Morgan, a $2,500 cash donation from the GENYOUth Foundation and pro football player-signed merchandise for their school and chosen hero. The prize was awarded for their video creation about a cheesy meal or snack that celebrates a local hero.

Matheny-Withrow Elementary School in Springfield, Ill., took second place, while Herrin High of Herron, Ill, took third. Each have received a supply of reduced-fat cheese and Fuel Up to Play 60 merchandise.

The contest was created through a partnership between the Midwest Dairy Council and Land O' Lakes to reward Fuel Up to Play 60-enrolled Illinois schools for engaging in healthy eating and physical activity behaviors.
