Lisle-Woodridge Fire District promotes holiday fire safety

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District will be participating in the Holiday Fire Safety campaign through December.

While being a part of Keep the Wreaths Red, the five fire stations will display large wreaths with red lights. The lights will remain red unless there is a fire in the district caused by any part of a holiday decoration or display. Each holiday fire will cause a red light to be replaced by a white light.

The program, which ends Jan. 1, is to remind residents to use proper care when setting up holiday displays, lights, candles, Christmas trees and more.
