BENSENVILLE – The community relations coordinator for Bensenville School District 2 recently completed the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) exam.

The Universal Accreditation Board announced Terry Ryan successfully completed the certification program in November.

Ryan is also a member of the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA).

The program assesses competence in 60 areas of knowledge, skills and abilities associated with public relations. Ryan presented her portfolio to a Readiness Review panel of three peer judges and passing a computer-based examination.

Professionals who earn their APR must maintain their credentials through continuing professional development, providing leadership to the profession and serving their local communities.

Ryan will be recognized at the National School Public Relations Association conference in July.
