Police reports: Brookfield, Riverside for Dec. 11

BROOKFIELD

DUI

Cletus W. Garde, 30, of Mount Prospect, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for speeding at Ogden and Prairie avenues at 2:43 a.m. Dec. 2. His blood-alcohol concentration was 0.258. 

Obstructing a police officer

Matthew J. Lannon, 34, of the 3000 block of Prairie Avenue, was charged with obstructing a police officer after refusing to provide identification when a police officer questioned him about a reported hit-and-run incident that occurred shortly before 2:13 a.m. Dec. 1. He also was cited for improper lane usage and failure to leave information after striking a parked vehicle.

Burglary to motor vehicle

• A wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 4500 block of Madison Avenue as reported at 3:15 p.m. Nov. 27.

• A vehicle was broken into in the 4200 block of Vernon Avenue between 10 p.m. Nov. 30 and 4:14 a.m. Dec. 1.

• A unlocked vehicle was entered and had its contents displaced in the 4200 block of Elm Avenue at 5 a.m. Nov. 30.

• About $20 in change was stolen from a vehicle that was broken into in the 4200 block of Elm Avenue, as reported at 8:34 a.m. Nov. 30.

• A vehicle was broken into and had its contents displaced in the 4200 block of Oak Avenue between 3 p.m. Nov. 29 and 9:33 a.m. Nov. 30.

• A GPS device was stolen from a vehicle in the 4300 block of Maple Avenue at 11 a.m. Nov. 30.

Theft

• About $200 was stolen from a man staying at a motel in the 8800 block of Ogden Avenue, as reported at 11:40 a.m. Nov. 26. The man said he let a couple friends stay in his room and that the money was stolen from the night stand next to his bed.

• A microwave and a mini refrigerator were stolen from the backyard of a residence in the 3100 block of Cleveland Avenue at 10:41 a.m. Nov. 29.

RIVERSIDE

Domestic battery

Susan D. Remiyas, 49, of the 300 block of Quincy Street, was charged with domestic battery after hitting a man in the head or neck with a glass vase at 7:27 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 300 block of Quincy Street.

DUI

• Miguel A. Bermudez, 33, of the 5500 block of West 85th Street, Burbank, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 4:11 a.m. Nov. 28 after police observed him weaving between lanes at Harlem Avenue and Addison Road.

• Joshua E. Wescott, 24, of the 3900 block of Jackson Street, Bellwood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for speeding at 31st Street and First Avenue at 2:12 a.m. Nov. 29. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.14.

• Courtney L. Moy, 34, of the 7600 block of Knottingham Lane, Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for speeding at 3:14 a.m. Nov. 30 at Harlem Avenue and Joliet Road. Her blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.189.

• Lynn M. Rodriguez, 32, of the 1500 block of South Gunderson Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for weaving between lanes at Harlem Avenue and Riverside Drive at 4:20 a.m. Dec. 1.

Reckless driving

Michael A. Phillips, 61, of the 3100 block of Maple Avenue, Brookfield, was charged with reckless driving after running another vehicle off the road at Desplaines Road and 31st Street at 9:24 p.m. Nov. 27.

Violating order of protection

Michael C. Marchuk, 23, of the 300 block of Southcote Road, was charged with violating an order of protection at 8:45 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 300 block of Southcote Road.
