Winter Artfest opens its doors this Friday, Saturday in Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE – The sixth annual Artfest will open its doors Friday and Saturday in a new location this year, 4949 Forest Ave. in Downers Grove.

Formerly a fall event, the new winter Artfest will showcase and sell work by 20 artists from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 4949 Forest Ave.

The show and sale is organized by artist Nancy Gelband-O'Connor, a Downers Grove native and current Elmhurst resident.

The show features original art and handmade crafts, seasonal gifts, collectibles, ceramics, holiday ornaments, hand-knit mittens, scarves, purses, American Girl doll clothes, hand-crafted jewelry and more.
