BERWYN

Man sees burglars run from his home

A man returning home from shopping encountered two unknown men running out of the front door of his house Dec. 2 in the 1400 block of South Gunderson Avenue.

The two men fled into a waiting van that was last seen driving north on Gunderson Avenue.

Nothing appeared to have been missing from the home.

Burglary, theft reports

• A backpack was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway Dec. 3, in the 6500 block of West 19th Street A brick was used to break a window and was found on the floor.

• Two TVs were reported stolen Dec. 2 from an apartment in the 2900 block of South Harlem Avenue. Entry was gained through a rear bathroom window.

• Several power saws, power multi tool kits, a sander, nailer, router and compressor were reported stolen from a vehicle parked Nov. 30 in front of a residence in the 3500 block
of South Lombard Avenue.
Entry was gained by prying open the passenger door.

• A lock box containing $1,500 was reported stolen Nov. 30. from a bedroom in a residence in the 1600 block of South Highland Avenue. It is believed the resident fell victim to a scam involving a man who came to the home to take measurements of her windows.

• An iPhone 4 and a woman’s wallet were reported stolen Dec 1 from an unlocked vehicle in the 2300 block of South Scoville Avenue. The vehicle was unlocked at the time.

• An in-dash radio, Alpine speaker box and amplifier were reported stolen Dec. 1 from a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of South Grove Avenue.

Burglary, theft reports

• A red, 1999 Pontiac was reported stolen Dec. 5 from the 5000 block of West 32nd Street.

• A maroon 1996 Nissan was reported stolen Dec. 5 from the 2600 block of South 50th Avenue.

• A black 1999 Nissan was reported stolen Dec. 5 from the 2700 block of South 59th Court.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen Dec. 5 from a Pontiac Grand Am in the 1600 block of South 48th Court.
