Lemont High School to showcase musicians for the holidays

LEMONT – The Lemont High School music department will present two holiday concerts on Friday and Sunday in the Performing Arts Center, 800 Porter St., according to a school news release.

The Friday concert, titled "Prism," starts at 7 p.m. and will feature various small ensembles from the choir and the Concert and Symphonic Bands. The ensembles will play a continuous stream of music, accompanied by special lighting effects.

The 3 p.m. Sunday concert will be a more traditional performance by the bands and choir.

Admission to either concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good or paper good to be donated to local food pantries.
