LOMBARD – The Lombard Fire Department's 13th Annual Toy Drive begins this week, and will culminate with a parade on Dec. 14.

Collection bins are ready for toy drop-offs at Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave.; Fire Station 1, 50 E. St. Charles Road; Fire Station 2, 2020 S. Highland Ave.; Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main St.; and Schroeder's Ace Hardware, 837 Westmore-Meyers Road.

The department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for children and babies, as well as baby supplies. Items collected will benefit the Teen Parent Connection, The Outreach House and the Lombard-Villa Park Food Pantry.

Cash donations are also being accepted and can be dropped off at either fire station.

The department is partnering with Lombard Elementary District 44 schools to collect additional items in the schools.

The toy drive parade will start at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14 at Station 1 and will head south on Main Street to Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. Last-minute donations will be collected along the parade route by firefighters and volunteers.
