Letter: More bitter and partisan
More bitter and partisan
To the Editor:
Our friend Walt Zlotow continues to be critical of Congressman Roskam and the Tea Party.
Well, I wonder how proud he is of our current leader and the Democrats in the Senate.
I guess he prefers someone who lies to us (“If you like your health insurance you can keep it, period!”), is a hypocrite (when he was in the Senate, he gave an impassioned speech against the Republicans using the “nuclear option”) and who is more concerned about PR than actually functioning as the chief executive.
Wasn’t this the man who was going to change how Washington operates and bring us together?
It sure seems to me that things are more bitter and partisan today than they ever have been.
However, I’m sure this can solely be blamed on the Tea Party and, of course, George Bush.
While I am not a member of the Tea Party, I believe their principles have a better chance of putting the economy back on track and bringing honesty and efficiency back into the government than the current administration.
