DuPage County Sheriff receives award for accreditation

DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba recently received the Egon Bittner Award, which was bestowed by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The award is given to chief executive officers who have commanded a CALEA-accredited agency for 15 continuous years or more and was presented to Zaruba at the November 2013 CALEA Conference.
