Lemont High School inducts students into math honor society

LEMONT – Sixty two Lemont High School students were honored for excellence in mathematics by being inducted into the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society.

This is the third year for Lemont High School's chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, a national high school and two-year college mathematics honor society.

To be eligible for induction, students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or better, a GPA of 3.5 or better in all math classes and have completed both Algebra II and Geometry.

Inductees include: seniors Nicholas Abboud, Juan Dasco, Jonathan Dzielski, Lauren Lumsden, Kristen Parham, Damian Ponicki, Liam Purtle, John Simadis, Charlie Stahurski, Kevin Trojak and Anna Zechel; juniors Kathryn Atherton, Jessica Bonner, Conner Brandt, James Brennan, Margo Burke, Nathaniel Burner, Maria Castrogiovanni, Annamarie Chefalo, Adrianna Diviero, Karina Folliard, Rachael Hill, Mairead Hogan, Christine Hunter, Beth Jezyk, Monica Justice, Kyle Kowalski, Elly Lambert, Nicholas Lambrakis, Elaina Latz, Annette Lesnicki, Gary Lin, Matthew McFarland, Lauren McKevitt, Emily Micklin, Brittney Mikrut, Shae Millinowisch, Christine Moody, Emma O’Leary, Emily Olson, Bansi Padalia, Vincent Parise, Frank Pignone, Sabina Ponicki, Jake Rangel, Thomas Rimbo, Autumn Rita, Melissa Smith, Jessica Spinelli, Alyssa Stecyna, Samantha Walus and Daniel Wang; and sophomores Taylor Campos, Misbah Chagpar, Allison Egan, Matthew Filar, Kayla Irwin, Jakub Krzeptowski-Mucha, Olivia Matthews, Matthew Retzke, Matthew Uthupan and Andrew Wood.
