LOMBARD – The Lombard Public Works Department will hold a holiday lights recycling drive from Nov. 25 to Jan. 22 at its facility, 1051 S. Hammerschmidt Ave.

Residents and businesses can drop off their decorative lights and extension cords at a collection bin at any time, including after hours and weekends.

Elgin Recycling will pay the village for its copper content taken from the collection and the proceeds will be used to off-set the village's costs for its Recycling Extravaganza event. Last season, a half ton of lights were collected, according to the village.

For more information, contact the public works department at 630-620-5740.
