Lombard Public Works to host cooking oil collection

LOMBARD – The Village of Lombard will partner with SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education) for the village's inaugural collection of fryer cooking oil.

The collection will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Lombard Public Works Administration Building, 1051 Hammerschmidt Ave.

Bridgeview-based Green Grease Environmental will use the collected oil for diesel fuel and heating oil. Lombard residents are encouraged to bring their used liquid cooking oil.
