Santa to visit Dec. 14 and 15

BERWYN – There will be a lot of Christmas spirit in the air for children 10 and younger Dec. 14 and 15 at the city of Berwyn Recreation Center, 6501 W. 31st St.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 14, a host of Christmas fun is planned, including rides on the Christmas Express Train, a bounce house, climbing wall and slide, holiday face painting, carnival games and prizes.

Children can take free photos with Santa from 11 a.m. to noon, can try to guess “What’s in the Box” and win whatever is inside or enter and win the Grand Prize Drawing.

The fun continues Dec. 15 with an opportunity for a hot breakfast with Santa at 10 a.m.

Scrambled eggs, hot cakes, your choice of bacon or sausage, fruit, toast, coffee, juice and milk will be served. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be a resident of Berwyn to attend.

The cost for Berwyn children 8 and younger is $1 and the cost is $7 for adults and siblings age 9 and older.

Other activities include cookie decorating and the Moon Jump beginning at 9 a.m.

“Those Funny Little People” mobile puppets will sing, dance and bring laughs at 11:30 a.m., and a balloon artist will be creating balloon art from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Registered children ages 8 and younger will receive a free gift.
