DuPage County Sheriff's Office earns reaccreditation

Published: Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 1:20 p.m. CDT

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has been reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, according to an office news release.

Prior to the accreditation, two assessors from the commission spent three days at the Sheriff's Office examining policy, procedures, management, operations and support services.

The office met 100 percent compliance of mandatory and non-mandatory standards, the release said.

Agencies wishing to remain accredited must complete the process every three years and submit annual reports attesting to continued compliance with accreditation standards. The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has been accredited since 1990.
