OAK BROOK – Members of the Oak Brook Police Department will continue efforts to support athletes of the Special Olympics by partnering with Labriola Bakery Cafe.

From 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, members of the police department will put down the ticket book and put on an apron to serve restaurant guests at Labriola Bakery Cafe, located at the Oak Brook Promenade at Butterfield and Meyers roads, in the department's third Tip-a-Cop fundraiser with Labriola.

Officers will work alongside Labriola employees, greeting guests at the entrance, taking food or beverage orders and bringing food to and from tables.

In addition to gratuities given to the wait staff of Labriola, restaurant guests will have an opportunity to "tip" their Oak Brook police representative in the form of a monetary donation to Special Olympics of Illinois.
