Michaelsen approved as next Lemont High School principal

LEMONT – The Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Eric Michaelsen as the next principal of the Lemont High School during its Nov. 18 meeting.

In stating her recommendation to the board, superintendent Mary Ticknor said Michaelsen has all the qualities necessary to be the leader of a successful organization.

Board and staff members expressed excitement about Michaelsen's appointment throughout the evening.

Michaelsen is the Director of Guidance at Lemont High School, as well as the head coach of the football team. He will start his new position on July 1, taking over for retiring Principal Thomas Trengove.
