WOOD DALE – A Charter One Bank was robbed Friday in Wood Dale by a man suspected of robbing two other area banks earlier this year, according to the law enforcement agency website www.bandittrackerchicago.com.

The incident took place at 333 E. Irving Park Road, the website said. The suspect is white; in his 50s; between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall; has grey facial hair; and weighs about 165 pounds.

The website designated the occurrence as a non-takeover bank robbery.

The previous robberies reportedly took place at a Harris Bank on Feb. 15, also in Wood Dale, and at a Charter One Bank on April 19 in Rolling Meadows.

The suspect has shown a silver semi automatic handgun during previous robberies, according to the website, although it does not specify which.

A reward is being offered in association with the suspect, the website said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI – Chicago at 312-421-6700.
