Wheaton's Got Talent fundraiser announces finalist performers

WHEATON – Twenty entertainers have been announced as finalists for the "Wheaton's Got Talent!" fundraiser to renovate the Wheaton Grand Theater, according to a theater news release.

Instrumentalists, dancers, singers and more will compete for a grand prize of $2,000 and the opportunity to perform live at the 2014 Taste of Wheaton festival and during the grand opening week of the new theater.

Former Wheaton resident and contender on NBC's "The Voice" Michael Lynch will headline the event, while Wheaton Mayor Mike Gresk and Ivy Restaurant manager Jason Sandquist will serve as the evening's emcees.

•Deanna Lunt Baker singing "Con te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli

• Boom from Wheaton Warrenville South performing "Almost" from "The Princess and the Frog"

• Jessica Bullock playing piano and singing "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran

• Mary Kate Carragher singing "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera

• Arden Cooper performing "Travelin' Soldier" by the Dixie Chicks

• Despina Deveris from Wheaton College singing "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys

• Theresa Finan singing "God Help the Outcasts" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"

•The Grasshoopers performing "Orange Blossom Special"

• Kenny Hass performing an original song

• Sean Hatch free style rapping with random words from his wife and the audience

• Mark and Peter Havrdejs performing "True" by Spandau Ballet

• John Hickey performing a stand-up comedy routine

• Trevor Hill playing the piano to variations of "Mr. Crowley" by Ozzy Osbourne

• Shannon Marie performing "Ours" by Taylor Swift

• The Prairie Wind Band playing "Wagon Wheel" by Bob Dylan and Ketch Secor

• Kinzie Robertson singing the original song "Sea, Salt and Cigarettes"

• Sean Rollins playing "Wipe Out" by the Surfaris

• Meghan Ross singing "Beneath Your Beautiful" by Labrinth

• The St. Francis Music Ensemble playing "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
