DOWNERS GROVE – Proceeds from screenings of the Frank Capra classic "It's a Wonderful Life" on Dec. 14 and 15 at the Tivoli Theatre will benefit Sharing Connection Furniture Bank.

Admission for the show is $5. The theater is at 5021 Highland Ave. Audiences are invited to arrive early and enjoy the pre-show music on the Wurlitzer pipe organ.

Released in 1946, “It’s A Wonderful Life” tells the story of George Bailey, a family man who has fallen on hard times and contemplates suicide on Christmas Eve. Just when he thinks all hope is lost, his guardian angel Clarence appears to take George on a trip down memory lane.

Through a series of flashbacks, Clarence shows George how his actions have positively impacted citizens in the community of Bedford Falls.

Sharing Connections Furniture Bank is a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes furniture as well as other basic necessities to make a home for families and individuals in need.
